You're not describing abundance. You're describing greed. 😊
A scarcity mindset is what leads to greed, not an abundance mindset. A scarcity mindset says, "I don't have things I want, so I must hoard what I am able to get now, since I won't be able to get it again in the future." It leads to gorging on candy, and stuffing your pockets with it.
An abundance mindset, on the other hand, says "I am blessed with more than enough for my needs and wants, and will always have more available." If you truly have an abundance mindset, it leads to abstinence, not greed. After all, if you believe you can have candy whenever you want it, there's no point eating it now if you don't want it. And odds are good you won't particularly want candy while visiting Grandma. You'll get more enjoyment from watching your nieces and nephews trying to figure out how to eat taffy, or reminiscing with your siblings about how Grandma's candy bowl got chipped that one time little Timmy tried to prove he could balance it on his head.
Because there's more than enough stuff. What we run out of is time. An abundance mindset keeps our attention off of stuff, and on what really matters - people and experiences.
