Your rant about the app is spot on. It is useful for READING only. The part that infuriates me is that you can get a note on your phone saying so-and-so and 4 others have commented on your article. Click the link to see the comments. Click the first comment to reply to it, then back up (doesn't matter how... X, <, return...) and go to the Medium home page. Why does it skip over your article? Why do you have to restart the connection to Medium 5 times using the link in the email to read all 5 comments? Isn't this actually HARDER to program than the standard internet protocol of back up taking you to the web page you were on before this one? Instead, it works like that unless you back up to the page you started on, in which case it sends you to the home page instead.
Oh, and you can't publish to a publication from the app. Because it is for reading, not writing.
