Yes, the reaction to Covid is one of the reasons we left Colorado. The police were so busy keeping the pro-vaccine/pro-mask people and the anti-vaccine/anti-mask people from ripping each other apart, they had no time to deal with actual criminals, and it rapidly deteriorated back to the Wild, Wild West.

It's almost refreshing to live somewhere that government officials are expected to be corrupt, but that there's a socially acceptable amount of pocket-lining and anything above that gets you kicked out of office.
