Yes. Previously, grocery stores could only sell low-alcohol content beer. I think it was 3.5%. Within the past few years, they allowed grocery stores to sell real beer and alcoholic beverages (like hard lemonade, hard seltzers, etc.). So now they have large beer sections stretching an entire wall of the store, where previously, the beer section was like 2 six-packs of low-carb beer. So they can sell more things that go with beer. It's apparently a Mexican beer thing. Family members who do drink beer had never heard of beer salt, either. They just drowned quarters of lime in their Mexican beers.
