I gently remind them that I am not here to force anybody to do anything against their will and if they didn’t like the idea of leaving their home then I would look into live-in aides.

Yeah, good luck with that. At least in NY, you have to be on a waiting list for months to get even the crappiest of caregivers. Too much demand. Too little supply.
