True freedom of speech means you can say whatever you want and the Government cannot prosecute you for saying it. What most people miss is that it does not protect you from prosecution of the consequences of your speech. Just look at Alex Jones. It's just that so MANY people are saying such hateful things, and the legal system is so overwhelmed already, that most of it slides, unless it's the really big stuff leading to armed assaults.
