This is so true, in both the big and small things. If I remember something wrong, it's because the version in my mind is the narrative that had the most power for me. So if I write about that, I'm writing about what will most likely have the most power for the reader. But it really focuses you on LIVING the experience, and giving your total attention to it, so that you can remember it later. That's probably a healthier way to live, than obsessively making notes.
