They especially catered to the middle class single Asian professional women, whose cultures tried to impress upon them that their wants, needs, and accomplishments were less important than those of the men. (Yeah, I know, so do most cultures, but I mean, A LOT less important.) And their personal ambitions are less important than what their family expects from them. So, this might be the one time in their life where they were considered someone important.
