The whole system is broken. My dad went to the ER on Saturday. He wasn't admitted to the hospital until Sunday morning. When they took him up to his room, he passed room after empty room. He asked why it had taken him so long to get admitted. They said they had plenty of rooms. What they didn't have was nurses. In fact, one of the local colleges is enticing people into their nursing program by offering free room and board.
