"The pandemic is over" reminds me of a Doonesbury cartoon from the 70s. In it, someone declares that the Energy Crisis is over. Gas shortages are still rampant, and when you can get it, gas is many multiples in price of what it was before the crisis. But we're never going back to that, and we're resigned to this being the new normal. So, by definition, it's no longer a "crisis". The "pandemic" is over. Because Covid is now endemic.
