The other day, at our hotel breakfast, I was amazed that the waitress remembered I took tea (and what kind!) and he took coffee. I complimented her on her amazing memory -- she must see thousands of people. But she remembered that about us. She startled my dad (he didn't realize she was standing next to him) and apologized about scaring him. I reassured her that he didn't scare easily -- he'd raised me. He asked if she had kids, and she mentioned she had twin sons. "Twin boys! NOTHING must scare you, now!" I blurted. She got a laugh out of that.
