The one I disagree with is the "I don't need a man." That's actually healthy. No one, male or female, should feel incapable of surviving on their own. It might not be pleasant, but they could do it. I want to be in a relationship where I am wanted, not needed. Being needed is exhausting. Being wanted lights a little glow in my heart. Since I've been happily married for 13 years, and my husband extols my virtues and emotional wisdom to anyone who will listen, I think I may be on to something here.
Now, SAYING you don't need a man, while expecting him to cater to your every whim, pay your way, and take care of you, is just hypocrisy. That's the problem, not the independence.
