The house in Colorado was prone to January furnace outages. The heavy usage would blow out the fan unit, so the furnace heated up the attic, rather than sending hot air through the ducts. It sometimes took up to a week to get it fixed. Fortunately the house was passive solar heating, so as long as it was sunny, we were okay.
