The Christian box-tickers look at this, and think, "Have you tithed a tenth of your income to charity? Have you volunteered at a soup kitchen?" They miss the point that love of God and fellow human is something that happens every day, in all your interactions. What good is serving in a soup kitchen if you ignore the poor the rest of the time? Even just saying hello, and learning their names and stories. You know, valuing their humanity. And, just as we are all individual, our expression of that love of God and mankind will also be individual.
