The amazing thing is that this movie was the cleaned up version! The original Broadway show had a discussion of, if you couldn't get a condom, how to use plastic wrap. That got changed to the inexplicable waving of rolls of Saran-wrap in the scene where they're rebuilding Greased Lightning in shop class. Etc.
