Some members of the family do. Some barely manage cards. (Others don't even manage cards)
I also get letters from friends I went to school with, and former co-workers, so I can keep up with their lives. It's generally nice. Some are painful to read, because they are a dry recitation of everything the family did during the last 12 month period, in miniscule print, to fit it all it. I still appreciate getting them, though. And the ones from professional writers are always entertaining to read.
