Social media lets anyone with a computer become a bully -- and since they don't have to see their victims in person, they feel able to be much crueler than they would be face to face.

This goes for adults as well as kids. Adult "influencers" who feel it's okay to tell vulnerable teenagers they should kill themselves, etc. If these "adults" are who the kids are taking as role models, well, then they behave equally awfully.
