Our overwhelming impressions of Canada are of cleanliness and safety. We were in Toronto when they happened to be having a street festival of some sort. I recall a lingerie store (or possibly a sex toy store) that had a "bride" in white covered in blood and holding a knife and a dildo. But it was 10pm, no one was drunk or disorderly, there was no trash on the street, and people were just peacefully and respectfully having a fun time.
