Ouch! That’s a serious case of hurry up and wait!

My husband is currently trying to make appointments for a government meeting…in December. They don’t have any openings.

As someone explained it to me, when there is a crisis, all the “nice to do" stuff gets postponed, and everyone focuses on the emergency. With Covid, everything is an emergency, because they’re so short handed. Making life easier for a traveler falls in the nice-to-do-if-there’s-time category.
