Native English speaker here, and I *still* get my months mixed up. I blame it on an educational toy that let you put magnetic circles on the day, date, and month. The months were in columns and rows, but you were supposed to read DOWN each column and then move to top of the next column. It's more natural to read across each row, then move down to the next row. So I have a lot of trouble with the M-months. 😁 I end up counting months on my fingers, so I don't make the mistake of thinking May comes before March. I once told a friend, in February, that she had plenty of time to write a book by a contest deadline in March. It was months away! Instead, she had 3 weeks. She never let me forget that....
