My nickname for the longest time was "Yeep". Because of the noise I made when amused. (I'd forget to breathe...inhale...imagine a pinched balloon and you get the idea.) A college friend said it reminded him of the "Wheat versus Soybean" commercial, where soybean took a deep, healthy breath, and the wheat made a strangled little gasp for air and said "Yeep". Considering everyone and their sister seemed to be named "Jennifer" at the time, it was nice to have a name that only referred to me. :-D
