My husband also has asthma and cat allergies. We have 2 adorable Siberian cats because they are hypoallergenic. (They're not hairless - quite the opposite! They look a lot like Maine Coons.) They are the beneficiaries of his 40 years of pent up desire for a cat. If you want to cuddle a kitty, get a Siberian. All the love, none of the wheezing.
