My general rules of thumb are: is this something that will help the reader by giving them clarification, context, or demonstrating my credentials? is this something that, while personally painful, might be objectively amusing? If anything doesn't match one of those rules, then the only reasons I've found that I want to share are because everyone else is sharing something similar, or I want to air "my side" of a situation, and hopefully get a lot of people to chime in with affirmations of how totally right I was and how it's not at all my fault. That might be a reason to post something to your friends on social media, but it's not a good reason to write an article.
