LOL. Our sweet Siberians break this rule every day. Give them a treat (like tuna juice) in a single bowl, and the older cat digs in. The younger cat waits, on the other side of the bowl, for the first cat to take a brief break to clean face and whiskers. When the older cat is ready to eat again, she leans her head against the younger one's head, letting her know it's time to switch. The younger one backs up, and lets the older one resume feeding from the dish.
