It's those meh books in the middle that are so hard to know what to do with... I like the characters enough to want to know how it ends... but I don't like them enough to want to spend the time reading it. :-) Or, I liked it enough to read, but enough to reread? Or read again after that? What if I wait 5 years? Will I want to read it then? It's interesting to see the books I read every year in my 20s migrating to the to-be-donated shelf.
