I'd say, yes, to the question are you high. Not because of the floaty feeling. That differs depending on the strain, as someone else mentioned. But because any of the strains shut down your internal editor - leading to random things (in your case, calf sizes) being viewed as important enough to study at length. And the stream of consciousness writing. (We made the mistake of getting some for my MIL when she shattered her arm, and it made her talk nonstop. For hours.)
For pain relief without the high, I used a topical ointment - one just THC and one mixed - depending on if it was muscle or nerve pain. Works a treat.
