I wouldn't have liked that lady either. Not because she was rich, but because she was cruel to those she didn't feel deserved better treatment. I mean, if you don't want cigarettes on your lawn, why would you think your neighbor would? And to tell a cleaning lady she should have thought about the buses not running as often on a holiday when obviously she DID, which is why she negotiated an extra payment to cover getting her home, is just abusing your power. If she protests, you might not pay her for her work!

As far as calling cleaning ladies "cleaners", if you hire a service, you need a gender neutral noun. Because while most are female, they are not all female. Or go with the gender neutral housekeeper. (Although some people consider that includes cooking duties.)
