I think the warning should have been not to talk to you all about marriage! You unloaded on the poor girl with both barrels. Yes, marriage is about more than the wedding. But just because you all had horrible experiences does not mean all marriage experiences are horrible. The reality lies somewhere between her overly optimistic view, and your overly pessimistic views.
