I somehow think cancel culture and radical Christianity are symptoms of the same problem, popping up in two very different ways. People are required to prove, with every word and action, that they are above reproach. Otherwise, all of the good they've done is ignored and trivialized, compared to the overwhelming wrongness and proof of evil intent behind one hasty action or ill chosen statement. (Not a pattern of bad behavior, which deserves being called out, but one misstep.) It demands constant perfection, which no one can pull off for long. That's what needs to be addressed, at the core, not symptoms.
