I loved the Pippi Longstocking books. A childhood friend went to Sweden with her parents, and sent one back to me. It was amazing, since all the kids books of the time were all about being good and following rules. I insisted my mom put wires in my hair so my braids would stick out like hers. 😂😂😂😂 To her credit, she went along with it, even though she thought the other kids would make fun of me. Instead, I used it as an opportunity to introduce Pippi to everyone in the schoolyard.
