I love your variety. Now I have something to say to my husband in those circumstances when I don't particularly care, but know he does. (That's when he tends to toss "happy wife, happy life" at me.) But now you've got me thinking...why do we feel a need to justify giving in to the other person as enlightened self-interest? What's wrong with just admitting we like making them happy?
