I love this! "Discipline" has a vaguely negative connotation, like "I want to do something else, but I have the discipline to do this think I don't want to do." "Diligence" is purely positive. I'm going to make it a policy not to call myself "disciplined" anymore. From now on, I'm "diligent"!
