I love that October starts the decoration season. First for Halloween, then for Christmas. (Because waiting until December to decorate is risking not being able to decorate!) Traditionally, the Christmas decorations went up the weekend after Thanksgiving, but I've seen a lot of people putting them up the first weekend of November.
