I got the exact same spam on a comment! They're targeting Medium's top authors, apparently. But I didn't report it, because to my eyes, it looked like the sort of message one sends with feline assistance... you're typing away, and suddenly, the cat inserts the last thing you put on your clipboard and hits "send"... You did far more research than I did. :-)
