I find it interesting that, while the "lab leak" theory is still going strong, it appears to be addressing the prior probability / updated probability piece of the puzzle. I've lately heard proponents saying that the original research was done in a lab in Winnipeg, and that a Chinese researcher stole it and brought it to the WIV lab. So the resulting probabilities go up significantly. (I don't know if that's enough to knock it over the 50% threshold -- I'd expect not. ) But it's enough to make lab leak proponents question the validity of the results.
