That's an excellent motto, and congratulations on taking it to heart to become a writer instead of just dreaming about being one.

My motto is from a poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay - "Hold fast to your dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly". Similar sentiment to yours, but it's more focused on not letting anyone take your dream away from you, or tell you you can't reach it.
