Reminds me of the stuffed animals we used to get from somewhere... we'd try to guess what the animal was supposed to be, then tip them over and back up to start the sound box inside them. Then guess what animal sound that was supposed to be, and did it match the outside animal. Our favorite was the mooing horse. It didn't look much like a horse, but it looked more like a horse than a cow. And it had no antlers or horns, so it wasn't an elk or moose or anything else that might conceivably moo.

These license plate animals were like that.
