Another excellent article, and sums up the biggest problem we've seen...for decades, the US has had a cloud of free-floating anxiety. We noticed on trips the difference between airports, and how oppressively loud and frenetic the US airports are. Covid, the work-and-school from home changes, and economic conditions have made it that much worse. Where I live in Colorado, we routinely make the news for mass shootings, and there is a gun battle with at least one fatality at least once a month. (The last was 2 blocks from our house.) And we live in a "good" neighborhood!
There are many problems with where we're moving to, but at least we can be relatively certain of living long enough to experience them.
